Are you a custom packaging manufacturer?

As a manufacturer, we do not outsource your orders to other companies. We maintain the highest level of quality assurance for each and every order by managing and executing every aspect of the production process. You can rest easy, knowing that we oversee production from the very beginning to the final delivery of your order!

Do you make fully customized and branded product packaging?

Yes – we produce fully customizable product packaging, with our primary focus being custom printed boxes for a variety of retail and wholesale companies.

Do you make packaging boxes with no printing?

Yes. We can provide stock product packaging boxes that fit your unique dimensions that have no custom design or artwork.

What custom packaging and box styles do you offer?

We offer a wide range of packaging and box styles, such as folding cartons, mailer boxes, corrugated, rigid boxes and much more – all with fully customizable options to meet your specific needs.

Are your custom printed boxes eco-friendly and environmentally conscious?

Being an environmentally conscious packaging provider is a top priority for us. We are delighted to provide 100% eco-friendly boxes! We mainly use Kraft and Linen stock, which encompasses a wide range of texture stocks to choose from.

Do you produce childproof custom packaging?

Yes, Refine Packaging produces childproof custom packaging boxes upon request.

Can I order several variations of artwork with the same size and specifications?

Yes! We often find that combining several variations of artwork into a single production run will save time and costs.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our minimum orders start at 100 boxes.

Can you send me samples before producing my first order?

Absolutely. If you’d like to see a general sample kit from a variety of our previous customers to touch and feel the quality of our products, simply ask your customer service representative!

If you’d prefer that we produce custom samples to your specifications before your full run, we can do that too, however, this requires a sampling fee. Sampling fees are dependent on the stock used, here is the price breakdown:

  • Cardboard, Kraft or Linen Stock Box Custom Samples: $150
  • Corrugated Box Custom Samples: $200
  • Rigid Box Custom Samples: $300

How will I know what my box will look like before placing my order? Do I get a proof before printing?

With Refine Packaging, you’re never left in the dark about your order. Before printing your boxes, we will create and share 2D and 3D mockups of your boxes based on your provided artwork. This means that you will be able to see every aspect of your design, from every angle, before moving your order into production. Should you need any design adjustments after reviewing your mockups, our team of graphic and structural designers provide design support at no additional charge to all customers.

What are your turnaround times after I place my order? When will I receive my order?

While turnaround time varies depending on each customer’s unique specifications, our standard turnaround time for custom box orders is 8-10 business days after final design approval.

Bulk or rigid custom box orders may require additional production and/or shipping time, which we will share with you ahead of time. While we maintain an extremely high level of accuracy in our stated turnaround times, delivery estimates cannot be guaranteed. If your delivery date is time-sensitive, we highly recommend that you discuss rush production and expedited shipping with your customer service representative.

How do I place my order? What happens after I place my order?

Once you’re ready to get started, here’s what to expect.

Contact our team through live chat on our website, one of our online forms, or give us a call to let us know the details of your order. After we receive your project specifications, a customer service representative will contact you with a free quote for your review! Your customer service representative will walk you through any questions you may have regarding artwork, mockups, design or otherwise. Next, your order details will be confirmed and your invoice will be sent to confirm your order.

After your invoice is submitted, the next step is previewing your artwork! Before printing your boxes, we will create and share 2D and 3D mockups of your boxes based on your provided artwork. This means that you will be able to see every aspect of your design, from every angle, before moving your order into production.

Once you review and approve the designs, your order will go into production and ship to you within the stated turnaround time for your unique needs.

What type of printing do you provide? Can you provide Foiling, Spot UV and Embossing/Debossing?

We primarily provide CMYK offset printing, and can also use the spot color from PMS. We also provide Foiling, Spot UV and Embossing/Debossing, which may increase the per unit price of your order depending on your specific needs.

SHIPPING

Where are you located?

We are headquartered in Florida and have multiple production facilities worldwide. Every customer’s order is fulfilled at one of our facilities, with the location dependent upon our logistics team’s estimation of each facilities’ current production and shipping demand, to ensure that all orders meet our quality assurance and stated turnaround times.

Where do you ship to? Do you ship orders outside of the United States?

We primarily ship custom box orders inside of the United States, however, we frequently ship to customers worldwide. There may be shipping fees included in your order price for orders shipped outside of the United States.

How will my order be shipped to me?

Your custom packaging boxes will be shipped flat, requiring minor assembly upon delivery. Some box styles, such as rigid boxes, may need to be shipped fully assembled. All products are carefully reviewed by our quality assurance department prior to shipment to ensure that every order arrives in excellent condition.

Do you offer rushed production and expedited shipping?

Yes, we offer rush production and expedited shipping upon request, which may be associated with additional charges. Please contact us to request additional details should your project be time-sensitive.

How much will shipping cost?

With Refine Packaging, you will never need to pay additional shipping fees! We provide free shipping to all customers.

Can I ship my order between multiple locations?

Yes! If you need to split your order’s shipping address across multiple locations, we are happy to support at no additional charge.

ARTWORK & DESIGN

How do I measure a box?

As you go through the process of ordering custom boxes, you will need to provide us with your box dimensions. The industry standard measurements are written as Length x Width x Height (L x W x H). These dimensions are almost always referencing the inside of the box. Please make sure that you round your exact measurements up to the nearest tenth of an inch.

Can you design my custom boxes?

Definitely! We have an in-house group of graphic designers who can help bring your brand to life. As part of our continued commitment to quality, we offer 100% free design support to all of our customers.

What design guidelines should I follow in my artwork?

Here’s some key points to remember when using text and line art in your artwork:

  • Make sure text is at least 8pt. Small font sizes may look good on your screen, but may not print well.
  • Try to keep text in bold colors that are made up of one or two inks maximum (C, M, Y, or K).
  • Artwork registration to any panel may vary up to 1/8 of an inch.
  • Include at least a 0.25-inch bleed in areas where graphics extend past the dieline.
  • When printing lines in a solid or dark color, they should be no thinner than 1 point.
  • Make sure all fonts are embedded or outlined.
  • Save your designs using the ‘Adobe PDF/X-1a’ preset, where possible.

What design formats do you accept for printing?

Graphical and text-based designs are best suited for vector-based PDFs or Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files to make sure that lines and text are as clear as possible. Please avoid using cut or crop lines, be sure to flatten all transparences, and embed all layers before saving your files.

How will I know if my artwork is up to your specifications to be printed?

Our design team will review your custom box artwork to address any potential technical concerns, such as incorrect artwork resolution, blurriness, splits, thin lines, and bleeds. If errors are found, we will bring these items to your attention as soon as possible. Please note that our team does not check for spelling or grammar errors, nor do they provide any subjective feedback on design content, unless requested in writing.

How do I place my artwork on a dieline?

Please ask your customer service representative if you need support placing your artwork on a dieline, as we provide artwork support at no additional charge to all customers.

Can I print artwork on the inside and outside of the box?

Yes! We frequently print 2-sided boxes that include your artwork both inside and outside of the custom boxes. We are able to print on the outside (1-side) and the inside of boxes (2-side). There may be additional fees for 2-sided printing, please discuss this directly with your customer service representative for details.

Do you charge for the number of colors that my artwork uses?

Never – we provide full color printing at no additional charge. Please ask your customer service representative how to move forward should this be of interest.

Can you print my boxes with a glossy or matte finish?

Yes. We offer gloss or matte finish at no additional charge. Please ask your customer service representative how to move forward should this be of interest.

Can you manufacture inserts for my boxes?

Absolutely – we produce cardboard, corrugated and foam inserts for your custom packaging. We do not provide plastic inserts at this time. Please ask your customer service representative how to move forward with inserts for your order.

How do I get a quote for my project? How long will it take to get a quote?

After we receive your project specifications, a customer service representative will contact you with a free quote for your review. We provide responses to all quote requests within 24 hours on business days.

Do you provide discounts for large orders? How can I reduce my per unit price?

Yes! As a general rule of thumb, pricing is more cost-efficient as order quantity increases, so the higher your box quantities are, the lower your per unit price will be. Pricing is generally determined by your box dimensions, box style, ink coverage on the box, box material and quantities.

Is there sales tax on my order?

If the packaging is used as a part of your product and you submit a sales exempt form you will not be charged sales tax.

Do you offer refunds?

We strive for perfection, every time, and hope that you love the custom packaging that we provide. Since our business is based solely upon customized orders, we are unable to offer returns or exchanges once an order is printed and delivered. If you have received damaged or defective items for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible – we are happy to address this problem together to find a solution.

Are there hidden fees?

There are never any hidden fees with Refine Packaging. All provided price quotes include all aspects of production and shipping.

Are there any set up fees?

Not one set up fee. There are zero set up fees for any orders through Refine Packaging.
